Annual Housing Survey: 1980. Housing Characteristics for Selected Metropolitan Areas: Providence-Pawtucket-Warwick, R.I.-Mass. Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas
This report presents statistics on housing and household characteristics from the 1980 Annual Housing Survey conducted in the Providence - Pawtucket - Warwick, R.I. - Mass., standard metropolitan statistical area (SMSA) as part of a larger study of the housing in 15 SMSA's. The section on general housing characteristics presents tabular data on selected housing characteristics for 1980, 1976, and 1970; characteristics of new construction units; characteristics of housing units removed from the housing inventory; and characteristics of vacant - year - round housing units. Another section provides tabular data on characteristics for owner - and renter - occupied housing units, characteristics of such units with black householders, and characteristics of such units with Spanish - origin householders. Tabular data in the third section on characteristics for owner - occupied, one - unit structures by value of property and characteristics of renter - occupied housing units by gross rent are broken down by black and Spanish - origin householders. The fourth section presents tabular data on characteristics of all occupied housing units and units occupied by recent movers, income of families and primary persons by purchase price and amount of mortgage, and characteristics of the present unit for recent mover households cross - classified by characteristics of the previous unit. Tables in the fifth section show cross - tabulations of the indicators of housing and neighborhood quality by income, value, and gross rent.
