High Strength Concrete: SP3-Fatigue. Report 3.3. The Effect of Cross Section Width on Fatigue under Stress Gradients
The report presents the results from centrical and eccentrical static tests and eccentrical fatigue tests on prisms with different widths and is a part of SP 3.6. The aim has been to investigate the influence of the width of rectangular test specimens on the fatigue life in case of stress gradients across the section and to evaluate the possibilities of testing the largest cross section in the main fatigue investigation on stress gradients with the relatively narrow width of 125 mm. The reason for this limitation of the width was the available actuator capacity for cyclic tests in the laboratory.
