A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A brief investigation was made of current flexible utility connection designs for buried protective shelters, design criteria for the connections, and information on differential soil-structure displacements caused by nuclear explosions. Some designs of flexible utility connections were found, but no design criteria were. Only a meager amount of information was found on differential soil-structure displacements. A recommendation is given to evaluate flexible utility connections. (Author)
