Intercity Bridge Across the Columbia River Between the Cities of Pasco and Kennewick, Washington. BRS 0655. Volume I
The project involves the major upgrading of an existing highway corridor by replacing an inadequate two-lane bridge with a four-lane bridge. The project also includes the demolition of the existing bridge when the new bridge has been constructed. The proposed bridge will span the Columbia River between the two cities of Pasco and Kennewick in Franklin and Benton Counties, in the State of Washington. The new bridge will be located 116 feet upstream of the existing bridge and utilize the slightly modified existing bridge approaches. The project will be approximately one mile long of which the new cable-stayed girder bridge will be 2,484 feet long. Environmental impacts are discussed.
