Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Restoration. Demonstration Project Number 69
Techniques and procedures have been developed to prolong the life of portland cement concrete pavements which are structurally sound but have relatively small areas of deterioration and limited problems at joints and cracks. Several of these techniques and procedures were demonstrated and discussed at a seminar on May 9, 1984 on a concrete pavement section of US 322 (SR 322) near Hershey, PA. These techniques included: full-depth slab replacement, spall repair, subsealing, diamond grinding, joint rehabilitation/resealing, and restoration of load transfer at cracks. The report contains the results of a four year performance evaluation.
