The projects of a plant for large-unit prefabricated building construction and for four- to nine-story apartment buildings for Noril'sk have been developed at LenZNIIEP. Development of this type of construction at Noril'sk is one of the first experiments to introduce prefabricated housing construction under the severe conditions of the Arctic, which presumes, besides further industrialization, a considerable improvement in the quality of construction, reduction of the periods for erecting buildings and improvement of working conditions.
