A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Performance characterization research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory
Research in performance characterization at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is focused on providing tools for analyzing and modeling the behavior of parallel algorithms on parallel architectures. The ultimate goal is to attain a deeper understanding of the complex interaction between parallel algorithms and architectures in order to improve performance on existing architectures and to predict performance as an aid to designing new architectures. In this paper, we describe our approach and the current status of the research. 1 ref., 3 figs.
