A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The reports cover the field performances of continuously reinforced concrete pavements and provide concepts for more ralistic design analysis of concrete pavements. Included are studies of the performances of CRCP in Indiana, Virginia, and Mississippi; the finite-element theory to analyze the effect of partial slab support on the stresses in the pavement; sensitivity of rigid pavement design methods of AASHO, PCA, and Corp of Engineers; and a methodology for selecting an optional pavement design considering reliability, performance, and costs.
