Modeling of Available Egress Time from Assembly Spaces or Estimating the Advance of the Fire Threat
A method for quantitative estimation of the advance of the fire threat is developed and illustrated. It can be used for any occupancy for which the fire growth rate can be numerically described. It can serve as a basis for design decisions regarding size and arrangement of room openings, sprinkler systems, smoke control systems, and emergency egress facilities.
