Progress Report of Evaluation of a Rubber Pad Railroad Crossing
This study was undertaken by the Michigan Department of State Highways in 1963 with the cooperation with the Bureau of Public Roads. Its main objective was to provide information to determine whether the advantages of rubber crossing would offset the cost difference between rubber and timber crossings. On the basis of these data the Bureau could act on specifications and standard plans for this type of railroad crossing material.
