National Dam Safety Program Research Needs Workshop: Impacts of Plants and Animals on Earthen Dams. Held in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 30-December 2, 1999
The scope of work or purpose of the research project as set forth in the agreement between FEMA and ASDSO was to identify dam safety state-of-practice issues and research needs relative to plant and animal penetrations of earthfilled dams. The purpose of this project was to be accomplished through the achievement of five objectives, which include the following tasks: 1. Conduct literature searches and surveys to determine state-of-practice issues and research needs. 2 . Organize and conduct an invited-participant state-of-practice and research needs workshop. 3.
