A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The Wick House. Morristown National Historical Park
The report was prepared to fulfill the requirements of RSP H-6 which calls for research to support the rehabilitation of the Wick House. Located in the Jockey Hollow area, the house is one of the three surviving Revolutionary War buildings in Morristown National Historical Park. It was the military quarters of Major-General Arthur St. Clair during the winter encampment of 1779-80. Thus the house serves an important function in the interpretation of the complete Morristown encampment story. Both the park Interpretive Prospectus and the Master Plan envision the Wick Farm as a key point of park interpretation. When rehabilitated, the house should reflect the latest and most complete findings in historical-architectural research.
