The land use analysis provides a basis for determining the current population distribution and provide information for the land use plan and other development elements of the comprehensive plan for Logan County. In order to provide unincorporated areas of Logan County with adequate schools, parks, recreational facilities, fire protection and public buildings, an inventory is taken of the existing facilities and the adequacy of these facilities is evaluated. The purpose of the Transportation Plan for Logan County is to insure an adequate thoroughfare system capable of providing efficient transportation of goods and people within and throughout the planning area. The Land Use Plan indicates principal functional components of land uses considering existing land use pattern, the regional character, and the circulation system.
