Route 206 Freeway, Newton Bypass, From Existing Route 206 to Proposed Route 15, Freeway in Sussex County, New Jersey
Two additional corridor locations for Route 206 Freeway - Newton Bypass are presented herein. One corridor lies to the east of all corridors previously studied while the other lies to the west of these corridors. The eastern corridor begins in Andover Borough and terminates in Lafayette Township. The western corridor also begins in Andover Borough and terminates in Lafayette Township. Both corridors are completely within Sussex County. Zoning in the eastern corridor area is predominately rural agricultural. The western corridor area is predominately zoned one-acre residential. Local services and community activities would not be disrupted by either alignment.
