Motor Freight Planning for the Chicago Region
A strategic motor freight planning model has been developed to help the Chicago Area Transportation Study evaluate alternative Year 2000 urban goods movement policies. This simulation model is operational on Illinois IBM computer system. The form of this Chicago Motor Freight Planning Model is very much the result of a desire to test three schemes proposed in the CATS Year 2000 Transportation System Development Plan (of 1980).
