A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Projects I-40-1(30) - McConnico-Kingman and I-40-1(33) - Kingman Interstate Freeway in Mohave County, Arizona
The statement describes action for improvement of highway projects, new segments of the Interstate and Defense Route 40 system, in Mohave County in northwestern Arizona. The project begins on existing U.S. Highway 66 approximately three miles west of Kingman, Arizona, and proceeds generally northeasterly and easterly on new alignment around the west and north perimeter of the city to join the already completed I-40 highway in northeast Kingman, a total distance of about six miles. The project consists of two 38-foot divided asphaltic concrete roadways constructed within a common right of way corridor 330 to 550 feet wide, with flaring up to 1600 feet to accommodate the construction of required traffic interchanges. Environmental impacts are: traffic safety; traffic engineering; traffic during national emergencies; right of way acquisition; vegetation removal; and traffic noise.
