Directory of Architects for Health Facilities
A guide is presented as an aid to administrators and governing boards of health facilities in the selection of professional assistance for building projects. The directory is intended as one step in the selection process, and the user is also referred to the American Hospital Association (AHA) publication 'Selection of Architects for Health Facility Projects.' Listings in the directory are open to all registered architects, and the board of the American Institute of Architects has authorized its members to be listed. There are two major sections in the directory: alphabetical and geographical by State or U.S. territory, and by city within the State or territory. The alphabetical section contains the following information about each firm: name, address of principal office, telephone number, average maximum number of personnel from 1969 - 1973, total dollar value of work in the design or construction stages as of mid-1974, work in health facilities (as percentage of total work), and other offices by city and State. No offices in foreign countries are included. Additional information on the listed firms, including recent health facility projects that these firms have completed is supplied to AHA, and available on a confidential basis to the chief executive officer of any AHA member hospital.
