Shrinkage-Induced Curvature of Reinforced Concrete Members
In a previous Development Report (No. 3), simple methods for estimating the elastic deformations, creep, shrinkage and thermal strains in structural concrete were described. In the current report, a particular design problem, the curvature of reinforced concrete members as a consequence of drying shrinkage, is discussed and a simple design procedure is proposed.
