Occupational Fire Casualty Information Final Report
Data on fire related deaths and injuries in business establishments between 1972 and 1974 is tabulated. Data sources used by the National Fire Protection Association to prepare these statistics are described along with data compilation methods and potential applications. The numbers of firefighters and civilians injured and killed in fires are listed for 44 different types of businesses. The authors suggest that this data can be used to identify industries and occupations where serious fire hazards exist, and to identify specific fire hazards.
