Reflection of Solitary Waves
The purpose of this study is to determine the several variables which control the amount of wave energy reflected by representative beach or shore-line structures, to derive a basic formula incorporating these several variables, and then to evaluate the various exponents and constants appearing in the formula so derived. The study described in this memorandum is restricted to the solitary wave.
