National Quality Improvement Task Force Report on Quality Assurance Procedures for Highway Construction

This report is the result of a Task Force meeting held in Hot Springs, Arkansas, December 6-10, 1993. This Task Force Report has been written to develop a number of innovative approaches to Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) programs and to serve as a supplement for sampling and testing to the AASHTO Highway Subcommittee on Construction Report, QC/QA Specification and Implementation Guide. The Task Force was comprised of 26 individuals representing private industry, State agencies, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and consultants. The Task Force meeting and development of this report was sponsored by FHWA Demonstration Project 89 to help fulfill one of the goals of the National Quality Initiative.
