A proposal is presented for the acquisition of right-of-way, grading and paving of approximately 5.87 miles of Route 63 between Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri. It will provide a dual lane, limited access facility and is part of an overall program to upgrade Route 63 to a dual line access facility from Columbia to Jefferson City. The proposed improvement will provide a safe and modern transportation facility which will accommodate the present and future traffic needs between Columbia and Jefferson City. The land used for right-of-way will necessarily be lost for agricultural production. The impact wildlife, water, noise and air pollution is not expected to be significant.
