The Housing Study serves to identify local opinion on broad housing problems and obstacles, and puts forth statements on housing objectives, planning activities and implementing actions. Three categories of housing problems were expressed for the Region: need for variety of different types of housing and their rental and sales prices; need for housing for the elderly; and substandard or structurally inadequate housing.
