This report presents statistics on housing and household characteristics from the 1993 American Housing Survey Metropolitan Sample for the Tampa-St. Petersburg metropolitan area. The area was represented by a sample of approximately 4,600 designated housing units. The sample size was divided between the central city and the balance of the respective area based on the proportionate distribution of all housing units in the area. Table on the total housing inventory included vacant units, general housing characteristics, the condition and quality of the unit and the neighborhood, size of the unit and lot, equipment and fuels, and financial characteristics. Tables on total occupied housing units address general housing characteristics, the condition and quality of the unit and the neighborhood, size of the unit and lot, equipment and fuels, household composition, recent movers, and financial characteristics.
