Flowable Fill mixes were evaluated in the laboratory and field. Consideration was given to strength, flowability, and time of set. Emphasis was placed on evaluating the freeze-thaw durability of typical Flowable Fill mixes. Flowable Fill mix criteria were established. Flowable Fill mix design and evaluation consisted of testing various combinations of concrete sand, wash wastes, crusher waste fines, an ASTM C 618 fly ash, a high carbon fly ash, air entraining admixtures, and Type II portland cement. Freeze thaw testing was done selected mixes.
