Investigation of a Prestressed-Precast Bridge System
A structural system of a prestressed precast concrete channel, an interior void form, and a top slab of cast-in-place concrete is proposed. A design procedure for hand calculations is presented for the selection of such members. Sample calculations for a 60-foot highway bridge span using the H20-S16 loading and a computer program for rapid design and selection of members are also included. (BPR abstract)
