A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Evaluation of Joint Sealant Materials
In May, 1968, the Department's Research and Development Section initiated a project to evaluate joint sealants being marketed for use on roads and bridges. In the study, representatives of 31 companies installed 46 products primarily on one road and one bridge for evaluation. Highway research engineers evaluated the materials' properties and the field performance of the joint sealants.
