A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Interdisciplinary Research Topics in Urban Engineering
The primary purpose of the report is to assist in the development at universities of interdisciplinary systems engineering research in the delineated area of urban engineering. To this end, several complex urban problem areas, annotated bibliographies, and directory information are presented to aid in the initiation of projects for both experienced and inexperienced groups. The topic areas presented are included on the assumption that they are at least representative of the major concerns facing planners in the three critical areas of urban transpotation, urban housing and the urban environment, and that they demonstrate the integrated approach required in dealing with large urban problems.
