Class II Intensive Inventory of the Lincoln Valley Irrigation Area, and the Recordation of Historic Farmsteads in the Lonetree Reservoir Project Area, Garrison Diversion Unit, Sheridan and Wells Counties, North Dakota
A twenty-five percent (1680 acre) sample of the Lincoln Valley Irrigation project area was intensively surveyed for prehistoric cultural resources. Twenty-nine historic sites were recorded and evaluated. None were found to be eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. All the historic sites recorded on the project appear to be farmsteads, the remains of farmsteads, or cemetaries related to the post-1900 settlement of the Lincoln Valley area.
