A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Thermal stresses and displacements in anisotropic, thick-walled cylinders or disks due to uniform temperature changes are examined. Parameters are identified which, if properly chosen, can reduce thermal stresses. Application of this analysis to composite flywheels is discussed. (ERA citation 01:016726)
