Elasto-Plastic Consolidation under Steady and Cyclic Loads
An important subject in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering is to analyze the deformation behavior of soils, which may be fully or partially saturated with water. The thesis is aimed to develop numerical procedures and computer programs for the analysis of saturated soil under undrained and partially drained (consolidation) conditions, both for static and cyclic loading, taking into account the elasto-plastic behavior of the soil and its densification due to cyclic shear.
