A Survey History of Cape Lookout National Seashore, North Carolina
The purpose of this study is to furnish some general historical data concerning the park. In scope it only surveys the history of the sites and structures within the park. It does not attempt to present the detailed information needed to interpret the various historic sites or the historical data needed to reconstruct or rehabilitate the various buildings at the park. At this site the National Park Service has an opportunity to interpret the cultural and economic life of the famed Outer Banks of North Carolina. (Author)
