Passive solar house design studies. Northern England and Scotland. Group 1. General studies
Large scale design studies have been carried out of passive solar heating systems for residential buildings in the United Kingdom under the aegis of the Energy Technology Support Unit (ETSU) of the Department of Trade and Industry. It has become clear from the performance assessments for design schemes for northern England and Scotland that a common methodology needed to be used. ETSU commissioned further assessments which have been incorporated into this report from one group of contractors on their designs for passive solar heating systems of various residential buildings.
