Marquam Bridge, Interstate 205 Section Interstate 80N and Interstate 205, 122nd Avenue Section, Primary Route 24, Portland Oregon, Multnomah County
Seven options of the Mt. Hood Freeway ranging from a do nothing to an eight-lane freeway have been studied. Five of the options involve use of the approved I-80N corridor; two involve modifications to the approved corridor. The approved corridor extends from the eastern end of the marquam Bridge eastward to 122nd Avenue. The portion of the corridor between the Marquam Bridge and its intersection with Interstate 205, at approximately 96th Avenue, has been designated Interstate Route 80N. This section contains 5.3 miles. In addition, the project includes an additional 1.5 miles extending from the I-205/I-80N intersection easterly to 122nd Avenue. This section is designated as a Primary Route (FAP 24) and is commonly referred to as the Mt. Hood Freeway. Environmental impacts are discussed.
