Rocky Ford Archaeology, Hillsdale Lake, Kansas
This report synthesizes all known evidence for occupation by Pomona peoples at the Rocky Ford Locality in the proposed Hillsdale Reservoir. Excavations at the Hill and Garrison Sites revealed house sites and another probable house location. Eight work areas probably associate with the houses in a small settlement, although not all the sites had to have been exactly contemporaneous. Evidence for Nebo Hill Archaic and Plains Woodland occupations also turned up at the Hill Site.
