A number of control experiments which were performed to verify test procedures of the resistance of concrete and concrete products is presented. A more detailed study of the calcium dissolution and the layer dissolution process was performed. The mechanisms which control the rate of attack in the long term are discussed. The proposed method is intended for use in studying the resistance to attack by acid water solutions.
