The goal of this project was to design and predict the energy performance of a passive solar building, to build and monitor the building, and to compare its actual performance with that predicted. The project was a success from the point of view of the design team; the owner, the architect and the solar designer. It amply illustrated the benefits of passive solar design to commercial buildings, and it clarified areas within which further research will be beneficial. (ERA citation 11:047417)
