A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Fatigue cracking is a frequent failure mechanism which causes extensive structural damage of flexible pavements. The study presents results from fatigue testing in the laboratory. The experimental work involved three types of fatigue test apparatus. Fatigue criteria have been established for asphalt paving mixes commonly used in Norway. Furthermore, the influence of load, environmental and mix variables have been studied.
