Numeric Ground Image Systems Design
Through the use of a systems approach to highway design, a computer oriented technique was developed employing a mathematical surface approximation to terrain configuration, for use in highway location and design. This technique eliminates limitations inherent in the traditional baseline-cross section method and opens new avenues for further innovation in computer aided highway design technology. (BPR abstract)
