Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards Checklist
The loose-leaf booklet provides a step-by-step checklist to survey whether a building meets the technical and scoping requirements of the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS). The survey covers UFAS requirements for new construction. It can also be used to survey existing buildings to identify these features or elements in need of modification. While it initially was designed for use by compliance officials and those responsible for enforcing the Architectural Barriers Act, it is expected to have a much wider audience as a guide for checking the accessibility of any building or facility.
