Traditional Roof Trusses Standard Designs for Hipped Ends
Bolted and nailed roof trusses have been used traditionally in South Africa and account for a significant percentage of the structural timber market. Following a detailed investigation into the behavior of these trusses, a set of span tables for standard domestic profiles was published in PB86-191780. The report describes designs for hipped ends which are intended to complement and extend the use of the designs already published.
