Effect of Pipeline Junctions on Water Hammer Surges
The purpose of the study is to determine the effects of pipeline junctions on pressure surge propagation and to specifically evaluate the effects of line orientation, concentrated losses and local structural motion of the piping system at pipe junctions. The primary aim is to determine if situations exist where the presently used theory is inadequate.
