Solar Village No. 3 - Lycovryssi, Athens. Report Phase 2. Vol. 1
In the course of a joint project of Germany and Greece, a solar village was constructed on the outskirts of Athens. The village has one-storey and multistorey buildings, all of which have solar water heating and air conditioning systems. The site, the housing structure (435 apartments), the insulated walls, the Trombe walls, and the solar-heated, water-filled collector tubes on the inclined roofs are described. Constructional features of the different house types and their passive solar systems are presented. Electromechanical installation are described as well as the calculation and construction criteria of the passive solar systems. (ERA citation 13:024344)
