A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Proposed Federal-Aid Route 433 (South Suburban Freeway), Will and Cook Counties, Illinois
The south suburban freeway is to be a multi-lane, median divided, fully access controlled facility approximately thirty miles in length. A reduction in noise pollution should be felt through the South Suburban area by a substantial number of people. On the other side the relatively fewer residents in proximity to the Freeway might experience an increase in noise. A diminishing and disruptive effect of constructing the freeway over presently undeveloped or agricultural land cannot be denied.
