S-939(), State Route 56, Athens County, Waterloo and Athens Townships, Ohio
The project is located in Athens County, State of Ohio in Waterloo and Athens townships. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve the alignment and grade of this section of State Route 56 to safely carry traffic at its design speed of 60 MPH. Adverse environmental effects associated with the disruption of the natural state are those normally resulting from alteration of the landscape to construct a highway facility in hilly terrain. Earthwork cutting and filling create scars, erosion and other drainage problems. (Author)
