Hedonic indexes of rental and owner - occupied housing estimated for the 39 Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas (SMSA's) surveyed in the 1974 and 1975 Annual Housing Survey are contained in this appendix to 'Dissecting Housing Value and Rent: Estimates of Hedonic Indexes for Thirty - Nine Large SMSA's' (Working Paper 249-17, Washington, D.C.: The Urban Institute, 1979). Included for each SMSA are the regression results and the means and standard deviations of the variables. Separate equations are estimated for owners and renters. (Author abstract modified).
