Numerical Simulation of Fires in Hospital Rooms
Smoke control in hospitals is a project studied by a Swedish/Norwegian smoke research group. The purpose is to find out whether the mechanical ventilation can be designed to handle the smoke when a bed fire starts in a hospital room. As a part of the project studied calculated results are presented, based on the two-layer model developed. The results are for bed fires developing in hospital rooms of various sizes and ventilation conditions.
