Test Pit Exploration, Section D013, New Carrollton Route
Results are summarized of three exploratory test pits made to investigate conditions in a potential borrow area near the intersection of Beaver Dam Creek and Landover Road in Section D013 of New Carrollton Route of the Washington Metropolitan Area Metro system. The report contains several geological sections incorporating the test pit information, logs of these pits, results of laboratory tests performed on sack samples of potential borrow materials from the pits and a brief text summarizing anticipated conditions for earthwork operations in this area.
