Urban Interstate Portland Cement Concrete Rehabilitation Alternatives for Washington State
Two urban Interstate portland cement concrete (PCC) pavements (SR 5 in Seattle and SR 90 in Spokane) were studied in order to (1) determine the mechanisms causing their deterioration, (2) estimate when the pavement condition would become unacceptable and the best time for rehabilitation, and (3) determine suitable rehabilitation alternatives. The rehabilitation alternatives were examined on a life-cycle cost basis.
