Worldwide research on dredging related to marine biology, nutrient composition, sedimentation, and water pollution is cited. Studies include dredging of harbors, estuaries, waterways, and for mineral recovery. The disposal of dredge spoil in containment areas, landfills, or oceans is included. Dredge spoil reuse in land reclamation is discussed. (This updated bibliography contains 154 abstracts, 16 of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
